Joe Thomas has lived in the Atlanta area most of his life. His father, a carpenter and general contractor, taught him the trade and also instilled in him a strong work ethic and appreciation for quality work and service to clients. Joe and his wife, Donna, have renovated two vintage homes in Atlanta (Candler Park, 1910, and Morningside, 1925) and are currently planning to do a third. Joe does some of the work himself and subcontracts the rest.
A strong advocate for sound environmental practices, Joe is encouraged by the growing trends in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. He values resources like Southface for the information and training they offer. He has completed courses in EarthCraft renovations and been certified as a building analyst by the Building Performance Institute. He has also had training in solar system design and installation.

Danny Harvey has been involved in the home performance industry in many capacities since 1998. Starting out as a carpenter’s assistant building and renovating high performance homes in his Kentucky hometown, Danny quickly developed an interest in energy efficiency and sustainability. Since moving to Atlanta in 2006, he has continued to use his experience in green building to provide important insight and information for builders, contractors and homeowners.
Before joining Renewal, Danny worked for Southface Energy Institute as manager of the EarthCraft Renovation program and as a technical advisor. As a lead trainer for Southface, he provided training and technical assistance to many green building professionals, including contractors participating in the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. He is a certified Home Energy Rater with the U.S. Green Building Council Residential Network and a certified Building Performance Analyst with the Building Performance Institute. He has inspected hundreds of homes in the Greater Atlanta area.
Danny and his wife enjoy the comforts of living in an energy efficient, green-built home.
